The Mid-Level AI Software Engineer is responsible for the autonomous development of medium-complexity features and solutions, contributing actively to technical decision-making and code quality. You will have the ability to integrate AI into product workflows with minimal supervision, possessing a deep understanding of the impact of your architectural choices. You will act as a key bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, collaborating closely with Data and AI Engineering teams to deliver robust, production-grade solutions.
Develop and deliver full-stack features of medium complexity autonomously.
Participate actively in architectural discussions and propose well-founded technical solutions.
Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and contributing to the team’s overall technical growth.
Design, implement, and optimize integrations with LLM provider APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini).
Apply prompt engineering and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques to product features.
Model and optimize relational and NoSQL databases for mid-scale solutions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to the team’s DevOps culture.
Ensure high-quality deliverables through automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E).
Document technical decisions and implemented architectures.
Collaborate with Product, Data, and AI Engineering teams to define and execute solutions.
Identify and propose improvements to development processes and software quality.
Monitor applications in production, proactively identifying and resolving incidents.
Maintain the codebase with high standards, applying design principles with discernment regarding maintainability and scalability.
Solid experience in full-stack development within production-grade projects.
Proficiency in back-end programming languages (Python, Node.js, Java, Go, etc.) paired with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
Ability to write maintainable, testable code autonomously, justifying design decisions based on trade-offs involving readability, coupling, and maintenance costs.
Proven experience in refactoring and evolving legacy code safely, supported by robust test suites.
Experience integrating LLMs into real-world applications (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, etc.).
Experience with prompt engineering and RAG applied to product contexts.
Intermediate knowledge of relational and NoSQL database modeling and optimization.
Experience with Docker and basic container orchestration.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) in a professional capacity.
Experience with CI/CD and deployment pipeline automation.
Advanced/Fluent English.
Public cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) at the Foundational/Associate level or equivalent.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Knowledge of MLOps and model lifecycle management.
Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, etc.).
Knowledge of security practices for AI applications (e.g., prompt injection prevention, guardrails).
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, etc.).
Degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
